Time of Arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday home from 3 PM on the arrival day. Read more under "Keys" if you arrive late at night.
Time of Departure
On the day of departure, we ask that you leave the holiday home no later than 10:00 AM, so that we can prepare the holiday home for the next guests.
Arrival days
In the period July 3 - August 14, Saturday is the arrival/departure day. In other periods, you can basically freely choose the arrival day of the week. In some periods, due to the other bookings, however, there may be restrictions on the choice of arrival day. As a rule, you don't need to rent for whole weeks either outside the period of 2 July - 13 August. It gives you the opportunity to put together the holiday according to your choice, just as you can choose to travel on the cheapest ferry days. The cheapest ferry days are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Allergyfriendly houses
Sandkås Holiday Homes are non-smoking. If you are allergic to pets, you can choose a house that is pet-free. Just let us know this in connection with your order and we will make sure to reserve an allergy-friendly house for you. Any allergies to down are also no problem, as our duvets and pillows do not contain down.
Baby package
You can rent a baby package consisting of: High chair, crib, stroller (sturdy umbrella stroller with a canopy, where the backrest can be fully reclined), changing pad, and bathtub. We kindly ask you to reserve the baby package when you make your booking.
Bus to Sandkås Holiday Homes
The bus stop is approximately 300 meters away from the holiday homes. The schedule for all bus routes on Bornholm can be found here: bat.dk.
Bicycle rental
It is possible for you to rent bikes at the close-by sisterresort: Klintely (same place as you pick up the key for your holiday home)
Cleaning
A holiday must be a holiday! That is why we make sure to clean your holiday home on arrival/departure - so you are always sure that the holiday home is properly cleaned on your arrival, and you are free from the work of cleaning yourself before your departure. When you order through us, cleaning is always included in your rental price. You therefore do not have to pay extra for the cleaning. On your departure, we therefore simply ask you to ensure that the furniture is in its place, the kitchenware is washed up, and any waste is handed over to the area's environmental station.
Disability conditions
Unfortunately, Sandkås Holiday Homes is not a suitable vacation spot for you if you have difficulty walking or use a wheelchair, as there are sloping terrain and steps in the area near the summer houses.
Dogs/cats
In one of the holiday homes, it is possible to bring your dog or cat with you on holiday. Please advise us in connection with your order if you wish to bring your dog/cat. Due to the extra cleaning that we have to do, it costs EUR 48 to bring your dog or cat. The price applies to the entire stay. If you bring 3 or more dogs, the price is EUR 96. Every year we have many guests who bring their dog or cat to Bornholm. It works easily - you just have to remember that the requirements of the Swedish customs authorities must be met. Normally, the rules for importing animals to Sweden are restrictive, but when you "just" need to travel in transit via Sweden to Bornholm, the rules are very relaxed. Duvets / Bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the holiday home. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for 22 EUR per person. Remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Electric cars
Unfortunately, it is not legal to charge electric cars by pulling out power cables from the holiday home, as the holiday home's electricity network is not built for the load from electric cars. If you have an electric car, we refer you to charging at the nearby public charging stations instead.
Grill
There is a grill in all holiday homes, which you can use free of charge. Please remember to take the other neighbours into consideration when grilling. Please also note that you must clean the grill yourself after use.
Internet
There is free wireless internet in Sandkås Holiday Homes. Transmission strength may vary. If you need to use the internet connection for work-related matters, we therefore recommend that you bring your own mobile broadband. If the network does not function optimally, this does not provide a basis for financial compensation. You will find the code for the internet in your holiday home.
Keys
You get the key to your summer house at Sandkås Holiday Homes at the nearby sister resort, Klintely. When we send you the confirmation of your holiday, we will inform you more about the internship. It all works easily - and you can also arrive late at night without any problems.
Kitchenware
Sandkås Holiday Homes has good and well-equipped kitchens, and there is kitchen equipment in the house. You therefore do not need to bring cutlery, plates or other kitchen equipment. Both cottages have a dishwasher.
Laundry
Unfortunately, there is no washing machine in Sandkås Holiday Homes, but if you need to do laundry during your holiday, you are welcome at the sister resort, Storløkke Holiday Park, where you can do laundry for DKK 50 per wash. The address for Storløkke Holiday Park is Genvej 4-6, 3770 Allinge.
Non-smoking holiday homes
Sandkås Holiday homes are all non-smoking.
Parking
You can park for free right at Sandkås Holiday Homes.
Tea towels, toilet paper and more
Upon your arrival, there is a tea towel, dish cloth and a starting supply of toilet paper in the holiday home. If you need more, you must bring/purchase this yourself.
Payment terms
We kindly ask you to pay a deposit of 25% of the trip price no later than 10 days after you receive our confirmation of your booking. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before your arrival. If you order less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask you to pay the day after you have received our confirmation of your order.
Shopping
Dagli' Brugsen in Tejn is the closest grocery store (1,6 kilometers from Sandkås Holiday Homes). In Allinge (2,5 kilometers from the holiday home) you will find Netto and SuperBrugsen.
