Gudhjem Søpark has a wonderful location, between the town of Gudhjem, the rocks, and the sea. Just 200 meters from the nearest supermarket, 800 meters to the centre of Gudhjem, and 900 meters to Melsted, and its lovely sandy beach.
Gudhjem Søpark has a calm atmosphere, but still plenty of fun to be had for children. Visit the playground, or enjoy a game of tennis at Gudhjem Søpark’s tennis courts.

Ground floor or first floor
All apartments have a floor plan of 67 m2, and are located on either the ground floor, or the first floor. There are apartments with sea view, with partial sea view, and without sea view, on all floors.
Please note that the sea view is best enjoyed from the terraces.
The layout
The apartments have the following layout: Hallway, bathroom with washing machine and tumble dryer, 2 bedrooms, both with double beds, large kitchen with, for example, dishwasher, coffee maker, and kettle, living room (pull-out sofa-bed sleeps 2), TV, and terrace with garden furniture. The apartments have two terraces, to ensure that you can enjoy the sun for most of the day.

Panoramic views and magical light
Gudhjem has been able to attract man for more than 1,000 years. The rocks, the sea, and the special light create an almost magical atmosphere in the little town, which has been able to grow, and grow, up the steep cliff. Since the beginning of the 1900s, artists have flocked to Gudhjem, and attempted to capture the town’s atmosphere. One of them, Oluf Høst, has his very own charming museum in Gudhjem, where you can experience his beautiful paintings.
Along the coast, you will find the old coastal path. Experience incredible panoramic views of the sea. Continue all the way to ”Helligdomsklipperne”, which were named after a holy spring. The towering Helligdomsklipper are very impressive, and show the way to Bornholm’s Art Museum. The holy spring can still be experienced inside the museum, as the water has been allowed to run all the way through the building, as an art installation. A wondrous mix of the past and present.

Arrival days
As a rule, there are no set days for arrival or departure. As such, you are able to plan your holiday completely according to your own wishes – and you can choose to travel on the days when the ferry is cheapest. Usually, the ferry is cheapest on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
Time of arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday apartment from 3 PM. Read more under “Keys”.
Time of departure
On the day of your departure, we ask that you leave the holiday apartment no later than 10 AM, so that we can prepare the apartment for the next guests.
Baby package
You can rent a baby package consisting of: High chair, crib, stroller (sturdy umbrella stroller with a canopy, where the backrest can be fully reclined), changing pad, and bathtub. We kindly ask you to reserve the baby package when you make your booking. You should pick up the baby package at the reception upon your arrival, and we ask you to return the equipment to the reception at your departure.
Bicycle rental
You can rent bicycles in the reception of Gudhjem Holiday Park, located just 60 meters from Gudhjem Søpark. Please book your bicycles one day in advance. The price pr. Bicycle is as follows:
* 1 day: 85 DKK
* 2 days: 170 DKK
* 3 days: 225 DKK
* 4 days: 280 DKK
* 5 days: 335 DKK
* 6 days: 390 DKK
* 1 week: 445 DKK (Ekstra day +40 DKK)
You also have the option of renting tandem bicycles, bicycles with child trailers and electric bicycles, as well as accessories for the bicycles such as bicycle baskets, child seats, bicycle helmets and bicycle lights. You will be informed of the prices for this by contacting the reception upon your arrival. Please note that there may be a limited number of the special bikes available for hire.
Booking more than one apartment
If you wish to book more than one apartment, all you have to do is book one apartment, and make a note in the comment section, of how many apartments you would like to book. We will take care of your reservation manually. Of course, you are always welcome to call us on (+45) 56 95 85 66.
Breakfast
All holiday apartments in Gudhjem Søpark have well designed large kitchen. If you fancy having breakfast served, rather than cooking it yourself, you can purchase breakfast at one of our nearby holiday locations, Pension Koch, just 300 meters from Gudhjem Søpark. Breakfast is available at Pension Koch between 5 April and 26 September. Pension Koch has an age limits for all guest, which is minimum 14 years, which also applies in the breakfast restaurant. The price is DKK 105 per person, per day. Sunday Brunch is DKK 130 per person. We ask that you inform us, when making your reservation, if you wish to eat your breakfast at Pension Koch.
Bus
If you wish to take to bus to Gudhjem Søpark, the bus stop is approximately 300 meters away from Gudhjem Søpark. The schedule for all bus routes on Bornholm can be found here: bat.dk.
Charging for electric cars
At the nearby Gudhjem Holiday Park, it is possible to charge electric cars. Gudhjem Feriepark has to chargers for electric cars (type 2 chargers). You can purchase a 55kWh charging card in the reception.
Cleaning
A holiday is a holiday! We take care of the cleaning prior to your arrival and following your departure, so that you can rest easy knowing that you will arrive at a clean apartment, and you will not have to worry about cleaning before your departure. When you book your holiday with us, cleaning is always included in your fee, and there will be no extra cleaning charges. On your departure, we ask that you have placed all of your rubbish in the bin bag, and that you have washed the dishes.
Disability access
It is possible for wheelchair users to stay in the apartments located on the ground floor. We ask that you inform us, if you, or another member of your party, is a wheelchair user, when making your reservation, so that we will have the possibility to book you into the holiday apartment best suited to you.
Dishtowel, toilet paper, etc.
Upon your arrival, you will find a dishtowel, dishcloth, and a start-up inventory of toilet paper and kitchen towels, in your holiday apartment. Should you require extra, we ask that you bring, or purchase, this yourself.
Duvets & Bed Linen
There are duvets and pillows in the apartment. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for 22 EUR per person. Remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Grill/Barbeque
All the holiday apartments in Gudhjem Søpark are owned by individual persons. Some owners have a barbecue for their holiday home, while other owners do not. We therefore cannot guarantee that there is a barbeque at your holiday apartment - but you are always welcome to bring your own. It is permitted to barbeque on the stone or grass area at your apartment. Due to the risk of fire, it is unfortunately not legal to use barbecues on the wooden terraces. A lit barbeque must be under constant supervision. Use of the barbecue must be done without disturbing the other guests. If your holiday apartment is equipped with a barbecue, we ask you to clean the barbecue after use, as this is not included in the cleaning that is part of the lease.

The supermarket Dagli'Brugsen is located just 200 meters from Gudhjem Søpark.
Hypoallergenic apartments
All apartments at Gudhjem Søpark are non-smoking. If you have a pet allergy, you can choose to stay in one of the pet-free apartments. Please inform us of your allergy when making your reservation, and we will book you into one of the hypoallergenic apartments. None of our pillows or duvets are stuffed with down, so an allergy to down will not be a problem.
Internet
All apartments in Gudhjem Søpark have wireless internet access. The connection speed may vary depending on the number of simultaneous users. If you need to use the internet for work purposes, we recommend that you bring your own mobile connection. Slow or faulty internet connection will not be grounds for financial compensation.
Iron and ironing board
You can borrow an iron and an ironing board in the reception.
Keys
You can collect your key in the reception. If you arrive outside the reception’s opening hours, we will make sure to inform you, where you might collect your key to your holiday apartment.
Kitchenware
The holiday apartments in Gudhjem Søpark all have well equipped kitchens – including dinnerware for 6 people.
Parking
Of course, you can enjoy free parking at Gudhjem Søpark. The holiday apartments are located between 10 and 150 meters from the parking lot, depending on your specific holiday apartment, and which parking lot you choose.
Pets
Dogs and cats are very welcome at Gudhjem Søpark, as we have holiday apartments suited for guests with pets. An extra cleaning fee of EUR 48 will be charged for bringing your four-legged friend. If you bring 3 dogs, or more, the fee is EUR 96. It is quite easy to bring your dog or cat to Bornholm, as long as you live up to the requirements from the Swedish Custom’s Agency. Terms of payment
We ask that you make a deposit of 25% of the total fee, no more than 10 days after receiving your order confirmation. We ask that you pay the residual sum no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. If you have made your reservation less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask that you pay the fee in full, the day after receiving your order confirmation.

Despite its modest size, Gudhjem is one of the most famous towns on Bornholm – and probably one of the most charming. The many small well kept houses, built in levels against the steep cliff, provides a very special atmosphere to Gudhjem. As soon as the 1800s, artists flocked to the town to experience the magical ”Gudhjem light” on the horizon. One of the most famous painters, Oluf Høst, has his own museum in the town today. Here you will have excellent opportunities for seeing “the light” and to have a very special art experience.
Great atmosphere on the harbour
The harbour is the centre of Gudhjem; you can experience a hum of life from the little cafes. There are daily departures to Ertholmene – the small rocky islands ”Christiansø” and ”Frederiksø”, east of Bornholm. In the beginning of the 1800s, the islands played a central part in the grand politics between Sweden, England, Russia, and Denmark. The English would bomb the islands on several occasions, while Danish soldiers stood fast, and kept the islands under the Danish flag. Visit Ertholmene, which is almost like going 200 years back in time.
Another interesting outing, is a boat trip on M/S Thor, which sails from Gudhjem and down the coast to the beautiful rock formation ”Helligdomsklipperne”, located directly beneath Bornholm’s Art Museum. When M/S Thor returns to Gudhjem, you will get the opportunity to explore the museum, with its impressive collection of local art. Take a later boat back to Gudhjem, or enjoy the beautiful walk back along the coastal path.

Life in the 1950s
When you return to Gudhjem, a visit to the small fishing village of Melsted, which can be found in connection to Gudhjem, is a wonderful experience. Admire the small and charming timber framed houses, and visit the beautiful sandy beach. The waters are clean and clear. Perhaps you feel more like visiting the working agricultural museum of ”Melstedgaard”, where you can smell, feel and try your hand, at life on a Danish farm in 1950. At Melstedgaard, you will also find ”Gaarden”, which acts as a kind of food embassy for Bornholm produce and products.

Bicycle holiday
See the nature from your bicycle
Bornholm has a very well designed web of bicycle lanes. 100 meters from Gudhjem Feriepark, you will encounter the first one. The lanes will take you along smaller roads, where cars are the exception, and beautiful nature the rule.
Fields of grain
Try going inland on a summer’s day, and experience the yellow fields of grain. The journey might be uphill, but you will reap the rewards on your way home, when you can freewheel downhill, and enjoy the views of the sea and the town of Gudhjem.
Østerlars Round Church and the Medieval Centre
On your journey inland, you can pay a visit to the largest round church on Bornholm – Østerlars Round Church (5.5 kilometres from Gudhjem Feriepark), which was built in the 1100s. Not far from the round church, you can visit Bornholm’s Medieval Centre – a living town, where you can smell, feel, and experience what life was like in the Middle Ages.
The bicycle lanes at Gudhjem Feriepark can also take you up or down the coast. Make a stop at one of the nature stops, feel the calm and quiet. Enjoy the beautiful view. If you are not bringing your own bicycles, you can hire a bicycle at Gudhjem Feriepark.

Not just the nature on Bornholm is beautiful and different. The sunshine island also boasts four golf courses, with experiences out of the ordinary. The courses are beautifully situated between hills, rocks, woods, streams, and lakes, with challenges for all handicaps. Rø Golf Course has received praise from several different international golf magazines. Rø Golf Course is located just 9 kilometres from Gudhjem Feriepark.

An Eldorado for running and cycling
Bornholm is an Eldorado for those who have caught the running or cycling bug. The cycling terrain in Gudhjem has many fun hills, and is home to many of the island’s bicycle races.
In a very small area, you will find running routes in everything from hilly forest terrain, to long flat stretches of sand. Throughout the year, many amateur runs are arranged, with Etape Bornholm being the most famous. Etape Bornholm is a marathon split across 5 runs, with routes on all conceivable terrain – hilly, rocky, and sandy. The run attracts runners from all over the world, and the number of participants is ever increasing.

The quick town run - 3 kilometres
From Gudhjem Feriepark, run towards Gudhjem. Down along ”Brøddegade” (one of the steepest streets in Denmark) to the harbour. Turn left at ”Løkkegade”, and follow it to Brøddegade, and run upwards to ”Lillevang”, where you turn left. Follow the road towards ”Melsted”, and turn right by Gudhjem Feriepark. A quick run, where you only run on tarmac.
Salene route - 6 kilometres
A varied route with stunning views of your natural surroundings. From Gudhjem Feriepark, run towards “Helligdomsklipperne” and Bornholm’s Art Museum. After approximately 3 kilometres, follow the road right, down towards the sea. Follow the coastal path back to Gudhjem Feriepark. A beautiful run in hilly terrain.
The ultimate - approximately 12 kilometres
You will run to Bornholm’s Art Museum and ”Helligdomsklipperne” along the main road. The sea will be on your left, and together with the beautiful rocky coast, it will be the perfect backdrop for a long run. By Bornholm’s Art Museum, turn left towards the coastal path, and back to Gudhjem. This stretch is thought to be one of the most beautiful in Denmark. The terrain is hilly, but the gorgeous scenery makes it all worth it.

A trip on the water
”Helligdomsklipperne”
From the harbour in Gudhjem, you can go on M/S Thor along the coast to Helligdomsklipperne. The nature on the island is no less impressive, when viewed from the water – a beautiful and interesting trip.
When you reach Helligdomsklipperne, you will have the option to disembark, and pay a visit to Bornholm’s Art Museum. Here, you can experience an impressive collection of local art and craft art.
The museum
Having visited the art museum, you can get back on M/S Thor, and enjoy your passage to Gudhjem – or you can choose to walk back along the beautiful coastal path. The distance is approximately 6 kilometres. It is hard to say, whether journey is more beautiful by land or water – either way, you will be making great holiday memories.

Just 300 meters from Gudhjem Feriepark, you will find Gudhjem Museum. The museum offers an interesting collection of effects from the area around Gudhjem.
A little further up the road, you will find Melstedgaard, which is a working agricultural museum, where you can turn back the time to 1950. The museum charmingly displays, what life was like in the country in the 1950s. Melstedgaard is a great experience, for children and adults alike.
Melstedgaard’s neighbour is Gourmet Bornholm’s ”Gaarden”, which is a kind of food embassy for local produce and products. Here you can experience all the deliciousness of the island’s pantry.

With its stunning location by Helligdomsklipperne, an impressive collection of local art, and its modern architecture, Bornholm’s Art Museum has become quite the attraction.
The Oluf Høst Museum
Back in Gudhjem, it may be time for a relaxing visit to one of the cafes by the harbour, before you visit the Oluf Høst Museum. Since the 1800s, Gudhjem has attracted many artists, of which one of the most famous was Oluf Høst. Today, a museum exists in Oluf Høst’s home in Gudhjem, boasting an impressive collection of his finest work. Do visit the house’s beautiful garden.

You can swim in the ocean, if you dive in from the rocks, just by Gudhjem Feriepark. Walk 900 meters up the coast, and you will encounter the charming and sandy Melsted Beach.
The house beneath the ground
Take a walk through Melsted, and take in the village and its many charming timber framed houses. Notice ”the house beneath the ground”. The terrain in and around Melsted slants to such an extent that one of houses has a doorway, which is practically beneath the ground. Visit the working agricultural museum ”Melstedgaard”.

Gudhjem Feriepark is situated right in the middle of some of the most beautiful scenery on eastern Bornholm, and as such, it is an excellent holiday base, for the guests who love hiking in nature. Of many great hikes, we recommend:
The fishing village Melsted
500 meters south of Gudhjem Feriepark, you will find the little fishing village Melsted, and its many idyllic timber framed houses. Walk back along the coastal path, and enjoy the beautiful view of the scenery and the Baltic Sea.
Gudhjem town
With its narrow, winding, and steep streets, a walk through the town is a special experience. Admire the many beautiful houses, and maybe take a rest at a cafe by the harbour, and take in the atmosphere.
The coastal path
The old coastal path runs both north and south of Gudhjem. The path can be hilly in some places so remember to wear appropriate shoes. It will not take you long to understand, why, for centuries, so many artists have flocked to Gudhjem. The views are simply stunning.
