1.0 We have an agreement
We look forward to welcoming you to Bornholm. We will do our best to provide you with a great holiday. However, unforeseen events or changes in holiday plans can always occur. To avoid any misunderstandings, we have drawn up the following terms and conditions.
The organizer of your trip is A/S Team Bornholm. A/S Team Bornholm is a member of the Danish Rejsegarantifonden. Your holiday is therefore in safe hands with us.
2.0 What do I have to pay?
The prices in the price list are in DKK, SEK or EUR, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We reserve the right to make changes after this date due to price and exchange rate changes over which we have no control.
We reserve the right to make errors and exchange rate changes in the prices stated on websites and printed material.
3.0 When and how should I pay?
If you book your holiday 45 days or more before your arrival, the following applies:
- You pay 25% of the rental amount at the time of booking.
- You pay the balance no later than 45 days before your arrival (or whenever it suits you if you want to pay earlier).
- You can also pay the full amount at the time of booking.
If you book your holiday between 1 and 44 days before your arrival, the following applies:
- You pay the full rental amount at the time of booking.
4.0 What happens if I or a close relative fall ill?
When you book your holiday with us, you can take out travel cancellation insurance due to illness.
If you take out this insurance, you are not bound to your booked holiday if you are unable to travel for one of the following reasons:
- Serious illness or death: of you or other fellow travelers - or your close relatives.
- Fire or burglary in your private home immediately before departure.
Compensation is granted if you are unable to travel for understandable reasons because you, a fellow traveler or one of your close relatives is seriously ill, has had an accident or has died.
Close relatives are spouses, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law, a person with whom the insured person lives in a marriage-like relationship or a person in your travelling party on the same booking.
Acute illness means an illness that you did not know or could not have known would occur when you booked the trip. The illness must be evidenced by a valid medical certificate.
Of course, we hope that none of the above events will occur, but in an emergency it is an useful insurance for you.
5.0 What if I change my mind?
If you wish to cancel your trip - and the reason for cancellation is not covered by travel cancellation insurance as per point 4.0 - the following rules apply:
Holiday home/apartment
For cancellations more than 45 days before arrival:
- You can cancel your trip with an administrative deduction of 10% of the travel price.
Cancellations made less than 45 days before arrival will not be refunded.
Package holiday (with ferry)
When booking a package holiday, the respective conditions for the included products apply. This means that if a holiday flat is included in the package holiday, the conditions for the holiday flat apply to this part of the package holiday.
We therefore recommend that you always familiarise yourself with the conditions for the products you have booked.
See section 7.0 for changes and cancellations of ferry tickets.
6.0 I want to change my booking
Holiday home/apartment
If you change or postpone your holiday more than 45 days before the planned arrival date:
- You can change or postpone your holiday free of charge. However, if you postpone to a more expensive seasonal period, a surcharge will apply.
- Please note: You can only change/postpone your holiday once. In the event of multiple
changes/postponements, an administration fee of DKK 200 per change will be charged.
If you change or postpone your stay later than 45 days before the planned arrival date:
- Unfortunately, it is not possible to change or postpone your stay. If you wish to change or
postpone your stay, the same conditions apply as in section 4.0 ‘Cancellation’..
Package holiday (with ferry)
When booking a package holiday, the relevant conditions for the included products apply. This means that if a holiday apartment is included in the package holiday, the conditions for the holiday apartment apply to this part of the package holiday.
We therefore recommend that you always familiarise yourself with the conditions for the products you have booked.
7.0 Changing and cancelling ferry tickets
We give you the freedom to choose the ticket type that suits you. You should make sure you read the change and cancellation conditions for the ticket type you have chosen. The current conditions on the website always apply.
Your options to change and/or cancel therefore depend on your choice of ticket type. The conditions can be found on your booking confirmation.
Package holiday
When booking a ferry ticket as part of a package tour, ferry tickets can also be changed and cancelled if the conditions for ferry tickets allow this. Therefore, always pay attention to the type of ticket you book when you select a ferry for your package holiday with accommodation.
8.0 Date of receipt of changes
Please note that your change is only valid once you have received written confirmation from Team Bornholm.
9.0 I'm angry, disappointed, and annoyed
If you discover any defects or faults in the holiday home/resort after your arrival, please contact the resort within 24 hours of discovering the fault so that it can be rectified as quickly as possible.
We attach great importance to ensuring that the quality and service at our holiday resorts is always very high. If you experience something different, we will be happy to hear from you - even if the fault was rectified directly on site.
Complaints
If the problem is not resolved, please contact Team Bornholm by phone or e-mail. You lose the right to complain if you do not inform the holiday complex directly. If you leave the accommodation without having been given a reasonable time to rectify the problem, you will lose
the right to compensation.
Any claims for compensation must be submitted to Team Bornholm no later than 30 days after the end of the holiday.
10.0 Disclaimers
We will do our best to provide you with a great holiday experience on Bornholm. However, events may occur that are beyond our control. In such cases, we are exempt from liability, and no compensation claims can be made against us.
These events include, but are not limited to:
- Strikes and lockouts.
- Breakdowns or other changes to schedules of ferry operators, airlines, and/or bus transport providers.
- War, disease or unusual weather.
11.0 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Team Bornholm processes the personal data that you provide to us. Personal information that will be processed includes, but is not limited to:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Address
- Email address and phone number
