Boderne No. 1 is located in the small cozy fishing village Boderne on the south coast of Bornholm. Choose between standard holiday apartments, apartments with beautiful sea views or a 6-person holiday home with panoramic sea views. You will stay in lovely and quiet surroundings, only 200 meters from the beautiful beach at Boderne. The holiday home and the holiday apartments are located above the terrain, but with a correspondingly raised parking space, so that you easily have access to both the holiday home and the apartments.

In addition to the beautiful sandy beach, Boderne is also known for Bornholm's largest and most exclusive clothing store; Stærmose, where you can buy lovely, branded products at sale prices. If you are up for an amazing experience you should take a 10-minute drive to the experience center "NaturBornholm", where you will experience exciting tablaous about how Bornholm developed over billions of years from red-hot lava to the lush sunshine island that we know today. The entrance hall leads on to the living room with dining table, TV and sofa bed (for 2 people). From the living room there is an entrance to the bathroom and access to a private terrace with sea views. There is also a terrace at the entrance, so you have both morning and evening sun.
Holiday home for 6 people - Havhytten - Panorama Sea view
The former director's residence at Boderne No. 1 has been converted into a beautiful 6-person holiday home with an impressive panoramic sea view. The holiday home is located in the first row to the sea and is therefore also called "Havhytten" which translates to "The Sea Cabin". The holiday home is decorated as follows: Entrance-hall with stairs up to the 1st floor and entrance to the bathroom and living room. The living room is connected to the dining room as well as the large and well-equipped kitchen. There are sea views from both the living room and the dining room. On the 1st floor there are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other bedroom has 4 single beds. Those can be made into 2 double beds. * Suitable for people with walking difficulties: Yes, Boderne No. 1 is also a good resort, if you have difficulty walking. There are thus no steps in or up to the apartments, as the parking lot is raised so that you can almost walk directly from the parking lot and into your apartment. At some of the apartments with sea views, however, there is a terrace with three steps.
* Pets: In some of the apartments pets are allowed. If you want to bring your dog/cat, we ask you to please inform us in a note with your booking. There will be an additional price of EUR 48, -, if you bring your dog/cat due to the extra cleaning, which must be performed after your departure.
* Included in the price: Cleaning on arrival / departure as well as electricity consumption is included in your rental price.
* Day of arrival: You are free to choose the day of arrival of the week, and you do not have to rent for whole weeks. You can thus also choose short breaks of ex 3-4 nights. It allows you to put together the holiday completely according to your choice, just as you can choose to travel on the cheapest ferry days. The cheapest ferry days are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Arrival time
You can enter the holiday apartment from 16:00 on the day of arrival. If necessary, read more under the item "Key handover".
Departure time
On the day of departure, we ask you to please leave the holiday apartment no later than 10:00, so that there is time for the holiday apartment to be cleaned for the next guests.
Arrival days
As a starting point, you are free to choose the day of arrival and departure, just as you do not have to book whole weeks. You can ex also go on short breaks for 3-4 nights. It allows you to put together the holiday completely according to your choice, just as you can choose to travel on the cheapest ferry days. The cheapest ferry days are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Barbeque
There is access to a shared barbeque at Boderne No. 1, which you are free to use. As the terraces are made of wood, it is unfortunately not allowed to barbeque on the terraces in front of the apartments.

Cleaning
A holiday must be a holiday! Therefore, we make sure to clean your apartment on arrival and departure, so you are always sure that the apartment is properly cleaned on your arrival. When you book through us, cleaning is always included in your rental price. You therefore do not have to pay extra for the cleaning. Upon your departure, we therefore ask you to simply make sure that the furniture is put in place, the kitchen service is cleaned, and that all waste is handed in at the area's environmental station.
Disability conditions
Boderne No. 1 is elevated above the terrain, but so is the associated parking space, so you can easily get from your car and into the apartment. There are no steps or stairs in the apartment. For some of the apartments with sea views, however, there are three steps from the entrance area and into the apartment area.
Electric cars
Unfortunately, it is not legal to charge electric cars by pulling power cables out of the holiday apartment, as the resort's electricity network is not built for the load from electric cars. If you have an electric car, we instead refer you to charging at the public charging stations nearby.
Grill
There is access to a communal grill at Boderne Nr. 1, which you can freely use. As the terraces are made of wood, it is unfortunately not allowed to grill on the terraces in front of the apartments.
Dogs
In some of the apartments at Boderne No. 1 it is allowed to bring dogs. If you want to bring your 4-legged friend, please let us know when booking your apartment. Due to the extra cleaning that we have to perform, it costs EUR 48,- to bring your dog with you. The price is valid for the entire stay. It is easy for you to bring your dog to Bornholm - even if you travel via Sweden. Just remember to meet the requirements of the Swedish customs authorities. Usually, the rules for importing animals into Sweden are restrictive. However, the rules are very relaxed when you are "just" in transit to Bornholm. Duvets / Bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the apartment. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for EUR 22,- per person. Remember to pre-order on +45 56 95 85 66, or add it to your booking online on the booking form, if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Internet
There is free Wi-Fi in the holiday apartments. The transmission power may vary depending on the number of users. If you need to use the Internet connection for business purposes, we therefore recommend that you bring your own mobile broadband. If the network does not work optimally, this does not provide a basis for financial compensation. You will find the code for the internet in your holiday apartment.
Key handover
When you receive your holiday confirmation, we will also inform you about how to get the key to your holiday apartment. It works easily - and it is no problem if you arrive late at night.

Terms of payment
We kindly ask you to pay a deposit of 25% of the price of the trip within 10 days after you have received our confirmation of your booking. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before your arrival. If you book less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask you to pay the day after you have received our confirmation of your booking.
Towels, toilet paper and more
Upon arrival, there is a tea towel, dishcloth and a boot stock of toilet paper in the holiday apartment. If you need more, you must make sure to bring / purchase this yourself.

Boderne No. 1 is located in the small fishing village Boderne on Bornholm's south coast. As early as the beginning of the 17th century, farmers in the area began to supple their income from fields and livestock with fishing. The fishermen's gear was stored in small red sheds - called "Boder" - along the beach, and thus the Boderne got its name.
The red stalls are still here, but today the stalls are better known for their beautiful beach, as well as Bornholm's largest and most exclusive clothing store "Stærmose", where you will find lovely brands such as Max Mara, By Malene Birger, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Boss and Sand and not least applied art from the local designer, Pernille Bülow. You may also visit the large outlet department where you can find expensive branded goods at a quite low price. After you have made some good deals, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere in Boderne’s small cafe with a good cup of coffee or a glass of bubbles.
A journey through millions of years
In the old days, the fishermen’s wives drove wheelbarrows full of fish to the nearby larger town, Aakirkeby, to sell the fish at the market there. Back then, it must have been a hard trip uphill with a heavily loaded wheelbarrow, but today it only takes you about 10 minutes by car to get from Boderne to Aakirkeby.
Arriving in Aakirkeby, you should visit the experience center NatureBornholm. At NatureBornholm you will experience the dramatic development Bornholm went through from red-hot lava to the lush sunshine lake that we know today. It is also at NatureBornholm that the fennoscandian fringe zone cuts through the landscape. Feel the buzz of history as you stand with one leg on sandstone and the other on granite, which is 1.2 billion years older. Back then, dinosaurs ruled Bornholm - and at NatureBornholm you can see fossilized dinosaur parts, giant dinosaur models and not least; the dinosaurs' contemporary cousin: Living crocodiles.

Play on two horses
Visiting Aakirkebys church; “Åkirke” is a must. The famous Christian baptismal font from 1150, which is one of the few - perhaps the only one in the world - that has pagan runic inscriptions. Legend has it that this would give the baptismal font magical powers. Adolf Hitler was so interested in this magic that in 1941 he ordered the baptismal font sent to Germany. Soon, however, other and more urgent tasks came for Germany, and therefore you can still experience the baptismal font in Aakirkeby. The magical powers have - diplomatically speaking - never been "scientifically proven", so perhaps the inscriptions are just about the people of Bornholm in 1150 playing on "two horses", because it was uncertain whether Christianity or Odin/Thor would win the battle for the Danes' faith.
You can also play on two horses - literally - on the world's smallest trotting track, which is just 6 kilometers from Aakirkeby. You are quite close to the horses when they come at full speed in the run. Maybe it's you who wins the big win? On your way home to Boderne No. 1 you can drive through the Bison Forest, where there are good chances to see some of Europe's last bison. It is a great experience to see the big animals.
Michelin restaurant and smoked herring
If you won the big prize on the trotting track, you might choose to have dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Kadeau, which is just a 10-minute drive south of Boderne No. 1. Other good restaurant suggestions are Fredensborg Badehotel in Rønne with French-inspired dishes and sea views. When you are on Bornholm, you must of course also taste Bornholm's national dish: The smoked herring, and one of the island's best smokehouses is Bakkarøgeriet, which is a few minutes’ drive from Boderne.
