In ”the old days”, there was a bakery in the town square – and for this reason, the building has been named ”Svaneke Bageri”. These days, the iconic building is being renovated and completely rebuilt. On the first floor, two beautiful holiday apartments are being built, both designed for 4 people. Be spoiled with rare wines and good food at Vinøst
The ground floor is home to the wine merchant’s Vinøst. Here, they serve light dishes for lunch and dinner, and spoil you with rare wines of high quality – all at affordable prices. The staff all have extensive knowledge of wine, so tell them what you like, and let yourself be spoiled. The wines are primarily from smaller vineyards, and based on organic or biodynamic productions. The food is inspired by dishes from all over the world, and will, of course, be served with wine in a perfect pairing.

Holiday apartment 57m2, located on the first floor: Hallway. Living room with TV, kitchen with dining space for 4 people. Bathroom with toilet and shower. Bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. The kitchen has a stove, with oven, refrigerator and small freezer compartment, coffee maker, and electric kettle. From the apartment, you will have access to a wonderful shared terrace.
Arrival days
In the period 7 July - 4 August Sunday is the arrival/departure day. In other periods, you can basically freely choose the arrival day of the week. In some periods, due to the other bookings at Svaneke Bakery, there may be restrictions on the choice of arrival day. As a rule, you don't need to rent for whole weeks either. It gives you the opportunity to put together the holiday according to your choice, just as you can choose to travel on the cheapest ferry days. The cheapest ferry days are usually Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Be aware that noise may occur
Svaneke Bageri is, as mentioned above, located on the town square in Svaneke. The square is full of life – especially on market days, when the square is bustling with people. During peak season (July, primarily), the activity in the streets and on the square may continue until the late in the evening. If you prefer a quiet location, Svaneke Bageri is not for you. But if you love to be in the middle of it all, you can look forward to spending a wonderful holiday at Svaneke Bageri.

Arrival days
There are no set days for arrival or departure. As such, you are able to plan your holiday completely according to your own wishes – and you can choose to travel on the days when the ferry is cheapest. Usually, the ferry is cheapest on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
Time of arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday home from 16:00.
Time of departure
On the day of departure, we ask that you leave the holiday apartment no later than 10:00, so that we can prepare the apartment for the next guests.
Bus
If you wish to take to bus to Svaneke Bageri the bus stop is approximately 20 meters away. The schedule for all bus routes on Bornholm can be found here: bat.dk.
Cleaning
A holiday is a holiday! We take care of the cleaning prior to your arrival and following your departure, so that you can rest easy knowing that you will arrive at a clean apartment, and you will not have to worry about cleaning before your departure. When you book your holiday with us, cleaning is always included in your fee, and there will be no extra cleaning charges. On your departure, we ask that you have placed all of your rubbish in the bin bag, and that you have washed the dishes.
Dishtowel, toilet paper, etc.
Upon your arrival, you will find a dishtowel, dishcloth, and a start-up inventory of toilet paper and kitchen towels, in your holiday apartment. Should you require extra, we ask that you bring, or purchase, this yourself.

Duvets and bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the apartment. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for 22 EUR per person. Remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Freezing opportunities
Both holiday apartments at Svaneke Bageri have a fridge with a small freezer box.
Grill
The apartments in Svaneke Bageri are owned by individual private persons, with some having a barbecue for their apartment, while other owners did not want to have a barbecue. We therefore cannot guarantee that there is a barbecue at your holiday home - but if there is not one, you are always welcome to bring your own barbecue if you wish to barbecue. Just remember to consider the neighbors when you grill. Please note that you must clean the grill yourself after use.
Internet
The holiday apartments at Svaneke - Bageriet have wireless internet access. The connection speed may vary depending on the number of simultaneous users. If you need to use the internet for work purposes, we recommend that you bring your own mobile connection. Slow or faulty internet connection will not be grounds for financial compensation.
Kitchen appliances
The apartments at Bageriet have a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenware, fridge, dishwasher, stove, oven, coffee machine and electric kettle.
Keys
When sending your final confirmation/invoice, we will inform you where you can collect your key.
Parking
You will be able to park, free of charge, right by Svaneke – Bageriet, but be aware that some of the surrounding streets have limited free parking.
Payment terms
We ask that you make a deposit of 25% of the total fee, no more than 10 days after receiving your order confirmation. We ask that you pay the residual sum no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. If you have made your reservation less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask that you pay the fee in full, the day after receiving your order confirmation.
Pets
In one of the apartments at Svaneke - Bageriet, it is possible to bring dogs. An additional cleaning fee of EUr 48 will be charged for bringing your four-legged friend. If you bring 3 dogs, or more, the fee is EUR 96. It is quite easy to bring your dog or cat to Bornholm, as long as you live up to the requirements from the Swedish Custom’s Agency. Svaneke is the easternmost point on Bornholm – and probably also the most sought after holiday town on Bornholm. Svaneke has a special charm and atmosphere. Svaneke is one of the few towns in Europe, which has been awarded the European Council’s gold medal for ”Excellent Preservation Work”. Take a ride on the local horse drawn carriage, where you can lean back and enjoy the beautiful old timber framed houses.
Experience the harbor atmosphere
Your holiday apartment in "Bageriet" is located directly on Svaneke Torv - there is no more central location! Enjoy the cozy square life, which is right in front of your front door. The market days are a special experience, but also visit the bolcherie, the ice cream dairy or have a cool refreshment at Svaneke Bryghus. Don't forget to also visit Svaneke Købmandhandel, which is a lively and cozy grocery store where time has stopped in the 1950s. All these experiences are less than 100 meters from your holiday apartment.
Visit Sorte Muld and Brændesgårdshaven
Take a walk along the coastal path, where there are wonderful panoramic views of the sea. You can also take the several thousand-year-old path from the coast and up to Sorte Muld, which is a ridge approximately 1,000 meters from Svaneke. At the time, one of the Baltic Sea's richest communities was located here - but the Baltic Sea was a troubled area, so the residents buried much of their wealth. This means that large amounts of gold jewelry have been found on Sorte Muld nowadays. Visit the exciting excavations - and if you're lucky, the archaeologists will hold an open house so that you can try to find the famous "Goldilocks" yourself. Neighboring Sorte Muld is the famous amusement park Brændesgårdshaven. If you have children with you on holiday, then a visit to Brændesgårdshaven is a must. There are lots of rides, mini-zoo, rowing boats, slides and more - and once you've paid the entrance fee, all the rides are free. After a visit to Brændesgårdshaven, it might be tempting to take a swim from the large seesaw at Svaneke Harbor - or from the small cozy beach "Hullehavn", where the wonderful cafe Syd-Ost-for-Paradis is also located?

Handmade liquorish, chocolate, ice cream, and hard candy. Do visit the local smokehouse, with its fish delicacies, or Svaneke Bryghus with its critically acclaimed beer. Of course you need to take part in the local version of the lottery: ”Chicken Bingo”. The game is very simple, 3 chickens are let out onto a large bingo field, and it is your job to guess which of the numbers receive the first ”greeting” from one of the chickens. Chicken-Bingo in Svaneke has been voted by Berlingske Tidende as Denmark's third best holiday experience.
