Bornholm Rundt
Bornholm Rundt will start on the last Sunday in August 2024, and the race route and distance are the same (103 km) as usual. Read more about the race here.
No timekeeping
There is no timekeeping... And you ride at your own pace. Some participants spend 5 hours on the 103 kilometers including stops at the depots along the way, while others "fly" through the route in just over 2 1/2 hours. You decide your own pace, and after the finish you will be given a nice Bornholm Rundt medal and diploma. The organizers also offer a hot dog and a glass of soda/beer.
Experience Bornholm's beautiful nature
Along the way, you will experience Bornholm's beautiful nature on the road. First, we drive along the almost pancake-flat stretches of South Bornholm. At Svaneke on the east coast of Bornholm, the terrain begins to change, and the big "mountains" thunder up in front of you.
Large gradients
Here you will find gradient percentages of up to 15%. The hilly terrain continues to the northern tip of the island, where you pass the old castle ruins of Hammershus. It is beautiful, but there is no time for sightseeing, because you have to continue through the hills of Slotlyngen. From North Bornholm, you roll down towards Rønne, where you will be greeted by a party and a lovely atmosphere.
Denmark's cozy and scenic exercise bike race
Bornholm Rundt is difficult to describe - it has to be experienced. The race has between 1,200 and 1,500 participants... and we dare to promise you that it is one of Denmark's most cozy and scenic exercise bike races. We should also not forget the good depots along the way - for example the famous soup at the Hammershus depot.
Everyone can participate
Part of the charm of the Tour of Bornholm is the many different participants. Here you will meet both the trim top athletes with super bikes... And those who have slightly different requirements for the equipment... There is room for everyone.

Also remember to enjoy the beautiful sunset on an evening walk along the beach while you feel the presence of history. The sand dunes along the coast of Hasle were formed about 170 million years ago. At that time, the Sauropods ruled over Bornholm. The Sauropods were a dinosaur that, with a length of 40 meters, are the largest animals that have ever lived on Earth. You have good opportunities to find fossils from the past. For example, a fossilized footprint has been found from a small Sauropode - it had "only" been 20 meters long...

Griffen Spa Hotel
