It can be difficult to choose the right place to spend your holiday. Do you want to live in a charming location by the forest? Do you want to be close to the beach? Holiday home for 4 people
The holiday homes for 4 people are located in a row and have the following layout: Hallway with kitchen. From the hallway, you have access to a bathroom. The hallway also leads to the living room, where you will find a large corner sofa, armchair, and dining table that seats 4 people. From the living room, you have access to the two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other has two single beds. All holiday homes have two terraces with garden furniture, so that you may enjoy the sun in the morning, as well as the evening. The holiday homes for 4 people are built in rows around a square, with a charming lawn with sun loungers.
Holiday homes for 4-6 people
the holiday homes for 4-6 people are in a row and have the following layout: Hallway with storage space. From the hallway, you have access to the bathroom, as well as a bedroom with two single beds. The hallway also leads to the combined kitchen and living room, where you will find a large corner sofa (which has a pull-out bed, sleeping 2), armchair, and a dining table that seats 6 people. From the living room, you have access to the master bedroom. All holiday homes have two terraces with garden furniture, so that you may enjoy the sun in the morning, as well as the evening. The holiday homes for 4-6 people are built in a row, and are all south-west facing.
Strandløkken has an excellent location in Rønne
Strandløkken is located on Strandvejen in Rønne, just across the road from the forest and the beach, and within 500 meters of the holiday homes, you will find Restaurant GSH and Fredensborg Badehotel, both among the best restaurants on the island. At Restaurant GSH, as well as at Fredensborg Badehotel, you have the option of purchasing your breakfast, if you so desire.
The wide-reaching net of bicycle lanes can be accessed from Strandløkken. Borrow one of the free bicycles at Strandløkken and go exploring in the beautiful nature on Bornholm – or take your bicycle to the centre of Rønne, where you will find many cafes and a charming town atmosphere. Rønne is the capital of Bornholm, and there are many interesting experiences to be had – read more about Rønne here. Following some lovely adventures, cycle back to Strandløkken, where you may be tempted to challenge your family/friends in a round of miniature golf. You can also stay in a nice holiday apartment at Strandløkken's "sister resort", Roseløkken, which is 50 meters from Strandløkken. Look forward to a nice and beautiful apartment in the same good location as Strandløkken's holiday homes.
The apartments are designed for 5 people: From the entrance there is access to the large bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the other bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. The entrance leads to the kitchen and the living room, which is furnished with a sofa, TV, armchair and dining table. The kitchen is of course equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. All apartments have two terraces/balconies, which face east and west respectively, so that you can enjoy both the morning and evening sun. Time of arrival
You will be able to check in to your holiday home from 3 PM. If you arrive late in the evening, go to "Keys" for more information.
Time of departure
On the day of your departure, we ask that you leave the holiday home no later than 10 AM, so that we can prepare for the next guests.
Arrival days
As a rule, there are no set days for arrival or departure. As such, you are able to plan your holiday completely according to your own wishes – and you can choose to travel on the days when the ferry is cheapest. Usually, the ferry is cheapest on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
Baby package
You can rent a baby package consisting of: High chair, crib, stroller (sturdy umbrella stroller with a canopy, where the backrest can be fully reclined), changing pad, and bathtub. We kindly ask you to reserve the baby package when you make your booking.
Book more than one holiday home
If you wish to book more than one holiday home, all you have to do is book one holiday home, and make a note in the comment section, of how many holiday homes you would like to book. We will take care of your reservation manually. Of course, you are always welcome to call us on (+45) 56 95 85 66.
Bus on Bornholm

Bicycles - borrow for free
You can borrow a bicycle free of charge at Strandløkken. You can access the bicycle lanes just 200 meters from your holiday home.
Cleaning
A holiday is a holiday! We take care of the cleaning prior to your arrival and following your departure, so that you can rest easy knowing that you will arrive at a clean holiday home, and you will not have to worry about cleaning before your departure. When you book your holiday with us, cleaning is always included in your fee, and there will be no extra cleaning charges. On your departure, we ask that you have placed all of your rubbish in the bin bag, and that you have washed the dishes.
Disability access
The holiday homes in Strandløkken are not designed specifically for guests with physical disabilities. However, the doors are wide enough to allow a wheelchair through, and there are no steps between the rooms inside the holiday homes. The bathrooms can also accommodate a wheelchair. Please inform us, if you, or a member of your party, is a wheelchair user, and we will do our very best to find you the house most suitable to your needs.
Dishtowel, toilet paper, etc.
Upon your arrival, you will find a dishtowel, dishcloth, and a start-up inventory of toilet paper and kitchen towels, in your holiday home. Should you require extra, we ask that you bring, or purchase, this yourself.
Duvets and bed linen
There are duvets and pillows in the apartment. Bed linen and towels are therefore the only thing you must bring yourself. Alternatively, you can rent a linen package, consisting of sheets, pillow and duvet covers as well as a large and a small towel, for DKK 22 EUR per person. Remember to pre-order if you want to rent bed linen / towels.
Grocery shopping
If you walk, or borrow a bicycle, there is only 800 meters to Coop 365, the nearest shop. If you travel by car, the distance is approximately 1,200 meters.
Hypoallergenic holiday homes
All holiday homes in Strandløkken are non-smoking. If you have a pet allergy, you can choose to stay in one of the pet-free holiday homes. Please inform us of your allergy when making your reservation, and we will book you into one of the hypoallergenic holiday homes. None of our pillows or duvets are stuffed with down, so an allergy to down will not be a problem.
Internet
All holiday homes in Strandløkken have free internet access. The signal strength and speed may vary, depending on the number of simultaneous users. If you need to the use the internet for work related purposes, we recommend that you bring your own mobile broadband. Should the internet connection not live up to your expectations, it is not grounds for financial compensation.
Iron and ironing board
You can borrow an iron and an ironing board in the storage room in Strandløkken - free of charge, of course.
Kitchenware
The holiday homes in Strandløkken all have well equipped kitchens. There is no need for you to bring kitchen ware.
Miniature golf
Strandløkken has a cozy mini golf course that you can use for free. You will find balls and clubs in the bicycle room.
Keys
When you arrive at your holiday home in Strandløkken, you will find a key box next to the entrance door. Information about which house you will live in and your code for the key box will be sent to you by email no later than 1 week before your arrival.
Parking
You will enjou free parking in Strandløkken. The holiday homes are located 10-100 meters from the parking area. If you require parking close to your holiday home, we ask that you inform us of this, when making your reservation. Chargers for electric cars are available.

When you stay in Strandløkken, you will receive 50% discount on entry to the large spa and wellness area, The Bornholm Diamond Spa, at hotel Griffen Spa Hotel, Nordre Kystvej 34, 3700 Rønne. The spa and wellness area has an age limit of 16 years of age. Entry to the spa includes a spa package, containing towel, robe, and slippers, which you can collect at reception in Griffen Spa Hotel. Remember to bring a swimming costume.

Payment terms
We ask that you make a deposit of 25 % of the total fee, no more than 10 days after receiving your order confirmation. We ask that you pay the residual sum no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. If you have made your reservation less than 45 days before your arrival, we ask that you pay the fee in full, the day after receiving your order confirmation.
Pets
Dogs and cats are very welcome in Strandløkken, as we have holiday apartments suited for guests with pets. An extra cleaning fee of EUR 48 will be charged for bringing your four-legged friend. If you bring 3 dogs, or more, the fee is EUR 96. It is quite easy to bring your dog or cat to Bornholm, as long as you live up to the requirements from the Swedish Customs Agency. Just in front of Strandløkken you will find a forest, where narrow pathways will take you down to the hotel’s “secret” beach. The beach is almost exclusively known to the local islanders. The water is clean and pleasant, and the sand is warm. Lay back on one of the large blocks of granite on a summer’s day, and feel the heat massage your back. After a swim, you might walk along the wooded path, taking you towards the centre of Rønne, the capital of Bornholm.
Stories of war
At the end of the forest, you will find Kastellet, a building, which, during the 17th century, formed part of the defence of Rønne. Today, Kastellet is part of the very interesting Defence Museum, where, among other things, you can experience what happened on Bornholm during World War II. While the rest of Denmark was celebrating the Liberation in May 1945, the German Commander on Bornholm refused to surrender the island to the Russians, stating that he had been ordered to only surrender to the English forces. This resulted in a massive bombing of Rønne (and Nexø) by the Russians. Immediately after, Bornholm was occupied by the Russian troops, an occupation that lasted until April 1946. The Defence Museum also tells stories about the important role that Bornholm played during the following Cold War. Exciting tales of spies and defections await you!
Church, Theatre and the “hygge” of Town Life
Following the dramatic, but exciting experiences at the Defence Museum, you might continue to Rønne Harbour. During the summer, you will experience a hum of life – especially on days when giant cruise ships berth. From the harbour, you can turn right, heading towards the centre of Rønne. Soon, the Saint Nicolas Church will rise in front of you. A little further on, you will pass Rønne Theatre, which is the oldest theatre in Denmark still in use. Might a play at the theatre tempt you tonight? Or will you want to continue to the Market in the town square and enjoy a cup of coffee and the “hygge” that accompanies the buzz of the town square.
The Old Rønne
Close to the market at the town square, and the town centre, you will find the old part of the town with its crooked lanes and charming small timber framed houses. Here, you will find beautiful old merchants’ houses from the 19th century, reminding us of a time, when Rønne was home to many wealthy ship owners. Enjoy the beautiful houses on a relaxing walk through the idyllic lanes.

Visit Bornholm’s Museum
In Rønne, there are plenty of museums to visit. At Bornholm’s Museum, you can experience the history of Bornholm through 10,000 years. Because of the location far from the rest of Denmark, Bornholm has had its own independent development. Bornholm had a convenient position for the sea routes in the Baltic Sea, and consequently developed as an important centre for trade, back in the day. The trade resulted in a bustling life and considerable riches on Bornholm, but the riches also attracted less desirable visitors – pirates.
Another exciting museum is Erichsen’s Gaard, an old merchant’s house, where time was stopped in the 1850’s. Here you can experience a “noble” home, as it appeared at that time. You can also pay a visit to Hjorth’s Factory, a working museum, where you will experience the proud ceramic tradition of Bornholm.

Strandløkken is perfectly located in Rønne. You are close to the forest, the beach, and yet very close to the centre of Rønne. If you do not feel like walking along the forest pathways to Rønne, you can borrow a bicycle free of charge at Strandløkken or take the town bus. The bus stop is located just 200 meters from the holiday homes and provides you with easy access to the bus routes on all of Bornholm. If you are travelling without a car, Strandløkken is an excellent base for your holiday on Bornholm.
